Holland Spring Regatta 3/27/2010 - 4/6/2010 $varies We have successfully used the Inn at Leiden in the university town of Leiden for some years. This historic Inn is located on a canal about 20 minutes due south of Amsterdam airport. Its location makes getting to the venue - about a 20 minute drive - and the airport or City of Amsterdam quite convenient. Although the restaurant on site is an historic building, the actual hotel space is newer. I would certainly call it a moderate property, but it is well located, comes with a restaurant and a lounge, offers some internet service, and is adaptable to opti family standards. Rates are 107.5EUR for a single, 120EUR for a double and 142.5EUR for a triple. There are no rooms which will accommodate 4 guests. Rates include a full breakfast, and VAT, but not the tourist tax of 1.85EUR/person/nt. These are NET rates and therefore noncommissionable. Colonial then charges a total flat fee of $35/family on the day you leave the US.

Garda Spring Team 3/27/2010 - 4/5/2010 $varies If you've qualified for this regatta, congratulations! Team USA has been using the Best Western Europa in Riva del Garda for many years now. It is a small hotel located on the town square in the front and the rear of the building is right on the lake - just walk to your boat. There are a number of room types and views, and you can choose depending upon the size of your family. All prices include tax (VAT) and a full breakfast - served on the terrace if weather permits. Sinlge room 80EUR, std double with 2 beds @114EUR, lakeview double @140EUR, std triple with 1 large bed plus a single @144EUR, lakeview triple @172EUR, and there is ONE quad with bedding for 4 @180EUR. Internet access is available within the hotel, and there is a laundromat down the street. Parking is public, no charge, but it is limited and taken on a first come, first served basis. These rates are "non commissionable", so Colonial Travel charges a one time $35 service fee/family - taken on the day you leave the US. Please reserve early especially if you have a specific choice of room or view. TexasTrials Apr 29th - May 2nd 4/24/2010 - 5/2/2010 $99 Kemah is a mixed location - lots of sun,sand, and sea AND a big, noisy boardwalk with an amusement park and some low brow motels to service the area. I've taken group space at the 6 month old Comfort Suites in Seabrook which offers an 11 minute commute to the TCYC. This smoke free hotel offers everything opti families like - free parking, free internet, free continental breakfast, and a complimentary shuttle within a 5 mile radius (yes, this includes the Yacht Club). There is a coin laundry and ALL rooms have a refrigerator and microwave and a pullout sofa along with the listed bedding. My contract space contains rooms with either two queen beds or with 2 dbl beds. A fifth guest would pay an additional $10 fee. There is an outdoor pool and you may bring a pet of 25 lbs or less for a fee of $25. Cancellation is 24 hours prior. I must have your reservation by March 23rd.

North Americans Kingston Ontario 6/25/2010 - 7/4/2010 $164 The Sheraton Four Points is a non smoking hotel which is a member of the Starwood Collection. This full service hotel is directly across from the harbor and just 7 minutes from the venue at CORK. Queens Univeristy, where the sailors are housed, is on a straight path about midway down to CORK. This hotel does contain a bar and a restaurant which offers room service. There is an indoor pool, a fitness center, and a business center. High speed internet is free in the rooms. Parking is undergound and there is a fee of $12/nt. A refrigerator can be requested. Cancellation is 48 hours prior

Nationals & Team Race 7/16/2010 - 7/25/2010 $104/nt The Hampton Inn in Gloucester opened in October 2008, and the hotel has offered us a block of rooms for these Fishing Bay events. The rooms have 2 queen beds or a king bed with a cot on request (no charge but based on availability). This Hilton affiliate offers free parking, free wifi, and free breakfast - or a breakfast "on the run" bag. There is an indoor heated pool and a coin laundry on the premises. Rooms do NOT include a microwave and refrigerator but there is an ice machine. There are a number of restaurants which deliver (Applebees & Ruby Tuesday) to the property, and there is a Wendy's within walking distance. McDonalds and KFC are nearby too. Cancellation is 48 hours prior, and reservations at this $104/nt price must be made by June 14th.

Nationals & Team Race - July 16 - 25th 7/16/2010 - 7/25/2010 $177 The Tides Inn, a beautiful resort, which is in the Leading Small Hotels group, has put aside some beautiful space for those families who would like to reside in luxury accommodations just 25 min from the Yacht Club. Rate is $177 /nt for a room with 2 queen beds, or a king bed with a cot, which is $25/nt. Rooms are subject to a 7% tax plus a $11/nt resort fee (per room/nt) which covers your wifi fee, non motorized watercraft, tennis, croquet, parking, and the par 3 exec golf course plus local phone calls. There is a lovely pool and 3 excellent restaurants at this property. Rates will be held until May 17, 2010 and after that, rooms will be offered at the prevailing rate - about $300/nt. Please reserve early if you would like to stay at this beautiful resort

New Orleans Midwinters - Spring Team Qualifier 11/19/2010 - 11/28/2010 $79 Once again we'll reserve the Metairie Marriott on the Lake at the end of the Causeway on Lake Pontchartrain. This Nonsmoking hotel offers spacious rooms with 2 dbl beds, a laundromat, a lounge and full restaurant, room service, and a fitness center with an indoor pool for $79/nt plus about 10% tax. Parking on Mon-Thurs is $10/nt (be sure to sign up with the hotel desk so you receive in/out privileges) but free on Fri, Sat & Sun. There is low access to the underground parking garage so those with high vans may want to check dimensions. Cancellation will be 48 hours in advance. Reserve early as this is the closest hotel to the venue.
