New England Champs 7/30/2010 - 8/6/2010 $$65 Once again, the Econo Lodge in Middletown is offfering the opti community the special rate of $65/nt for Sun - Thurs, $139/nt if you desire the Fri & Sat night prior to the regatta. This is a 50's style motel. It is NOT the same quality of a Marriott or Hilton affiliate, but the price is great for this well positioned motel. They offer an outdoor pool, free parking, free cont breakfast, and free high speed wireless connection. You may bring a pet for $15/nt, but pet rooms are all smoking rooms with 2 dbl beds - no non smoking rooms available if occupied by an animal. Our group space is non smoking - two double beds. Cancellation is 48 hours prior. Please call me by July 9th to make a reservation.

New England Champs 7/30/2010 - 8/6/2010 $199-305 The BEST Residence Inn in the US, located in Middletown, has again offered us space for this Newport Regatta. I have studio suites at $199/nt. One bedroom suites with a privacy door between the livingroom area and the bedroom for $209/nt. And 2 bedroom/2bath suites for $305/nt. All suites offer a full kitchen plus a free cooked breakfast, free parking, and free internet access. The property has an indoor pool and a guest laundromat. Pets can be accommodated for a fee of $75. As a Marriott, this is a nonsmoking hotel. Canx is 72 hours prior. Please make your reservations by July 1st.

BBR , Aug 6, 7, and 8 8/5/2010 - 8/8/2010 $119 The Fairhaven Hampton Inn, a Hilton affiliate, has offered participants in this Marion/New Bedford regatta non smoking rooms with two double beds. Rate of $119/nt includes breakfast, parking and WiFi. There is an outdoor pool, but rooms do not have the typical microwave and refrigerator of a Hampton Inn. Tax rate is 11.7%. Cancellation is 48 hours prior. This hotel has easy access off I95 exit 18, and is less than 4 miles from the CBC (New Bedford Community Boating Center). Please make your reservation by July 2nd.

ACC's, Oct 9th and 10th 10/7/2010 - 10/11/2010 $varies The Hampton Inn, a Hilton property, in Easton has offered rooms with 2 queen beds. This is a smoke free hotel. There is an indoor pool, and parking & internet are free. All rooms have microwave & refrig. Rate is $139/nt for Thurs and Sun, but $149/nt for Fri & Sat nights. Breakfast is included in the rate. ACC's at Tred Avon, Oct 9th & 10th 10/7/2010 - 10/11/2010 $120 Holiday Inn Express in Easton MD, about 15 minutes from Tred Avon, has rooms with 2 double beds listed on my contract for $120/nt. Rate does include breakfast. This property does have an indoor pool. Parking and internet are offered free of charge. The Holiday Inn is a smoke free hotel! Please make your reservations by Sept 7th. Cancellation is 48 hours prior.

New Orleans Midwinters - Spring Team Qualifier 11/19/2010 - 11/28/2010 $79 Once again we'll reserve the Metairie Marriott on the Lake at the end of the Causeway on Lake Pontchartrain. This Nonsmoking hotel offers spacious rooms with 2 dbl beds, a laundromat, a lounge and full restaurant, room service, and a fitness center with an indoor pool for $79/nt plus about 10% tax. Parking on Mon-Thurs is $10/nt (be sure to sign up with the hotel desk so you receive in/out privileges) but free on Fri, Sat & Sun. There is low access to the underground parking garage so those with high vans may want to check dimensions. Cancellation will be 48 hours in advance. Reserve early as this is the closest hotel to the venue.

Orange Bowl Dec 27, 28, 29 & 30 12/24/2010 - 12/31/2010 $varies Based on availability (means: when inventory is gone, I can no longer supply the apartment) I can offer the Mutiny Apartments at 15% discount. The Jr Suite has a queen bed, pullout sofa, and kitchenette for $194.65 plus tax for Dec 24 - 31. The one bedroom with a king bed, plus pullout sofa in the livingroom, and full kitchen is $220.15/nt plus tax. Please note that Dec 29 & 30 (if you will remain for both nights) require a prepayment with a 14 day cancellation. Parking is extra (about $25/day). You all know that the Grove has become problematic with lots of issues. This Condo Hotel is in a good location, the apartments are roomy and most have washer and dryer (NOT all), and the stucco is NOT falling off the building!
